We're Jenn + Tyler. Photographers, co-owners of Second Sun Photography, and most importantly, best friends. We think it's important that you feel as comfortable with your photographers as you are everyone else on your wedding day.

Every story is unique. We capture weddings the way we see them: As beautiful love stories that deserve to be told with as much emotion as you felt on your day. We honor your personalities and story by mixing your vibe with our photography style. All our weddings reflect you through our lens.
We are deeply inspired by the sun and its golden hour and the sweet emotion a beautiful sunset evokes. Playing with light while capturing every moment and detail big or small is our art form.
We love the feel of film. Between Jenn's darkroom background + Tyler's love for the medium, we mix the aesthetic into every shoot.
Our approach is documentary + photo journalistic. Movement tells a story and we love floating around a couple capturing that motion to tell the narrative. A balanced mix between posed and unposed images captures you in the most authentic way.

Jennifer
I bought my first digital SLR and film cameras in 2008. The same year friends asked me to capture their weddings and families and I jumped right in.
I've been fortunate to capture hundreds of weddings, events, and photo sessions over the years. While going to school for photography, I spent endless hours in a darkroom processing film. Studying photography at its core and working with the chemistry of film has immensely helped me understand it's not just taking photos- it's creating art.
Photography is more than my passion. Everything I see is from the perspective and potential of being captured. How light fills a room or the way the sun beams gold on everything it touches right before sunset.. It's in me. I've been privileged to capture the most special moments on many wedding days and it all means so much to me. Turning those moments into memories is what I do.
A few years ago I took a hiatus from full-time photography when I had my beautiful children. I'm very thankful to have created Second Sun Photography with Tyler and for his push to pursue my passion again. Since coming back to the industry, I have a renewed creative outlook that I'm honored to put into practice with every session.
Tyler
After receiving a Polaroid i-Zone for my 7th birthday, I fell in love with the idea that life could be documented in tiny, self-adhesive pieces of paper. Over the years, that love grew into a passion for landscapes, lighting, and the overall artistry of immortalizing a moment. There's nothing like reliving the most important parts of your life with the people who mean the most.
For me, that person is my wife Shannon. We live with our dog Bert in Celebration, and she is the best person I've ever known. My other passions are Pokémon and that's it. I love the competitive scene and coming up with strategies that are so absurd that I don't care if I win or lose, I'm just having fun. Also I feel that I singlehandedly have funded a car for at least one employee at my local Jeff's Bagel Run (please sponsor us).
I love photography. It's the only thing that I feel like I could do forever and be perfectly happy. I'm so thrilled to take this leap with my best friend and an absurdly talented photographer.

Do you travel?
We love to travel! Give us a destination and we're there. Our sessions are available in central Florida and we'll follow anywhere you are worldwide.

Can I use the photos for social media and sharing online?
Please do! We'd love if you tag us @secondsunphotos online. Second Sun Photography holds the copyrights; However, all full-size photos are yours to keep, share, and print.
What is your photography experience?
I (Jenn) captured my first weddings in 2008! I have shot hundreds of photoshoots and weddings over the years. I also studied film and digital photography in college. I (Tyler) have a background in landscape and film photography and have loved the weddings I've been fortunate enough to shoot. Second Sun is recently formed with years of experience behind us.
What kind of equipment do you use?
Let's talk gear! We use Sony mirrorless, full-frame cameras and are both currently loving the Sony A7 V. We each shoot with two cameras that each record to two memory cards simultaneously to ensure your memories are safe. We use a variety of prime and zoom lenses (Jenn keeps her Sony 28-70mm 2.0 on her camera at all times and Tyler is one with his 85mm 1.8 lens) We each use multiple flashes (Godox v100s and Neewer speed lights) on and off camera. We bring our MacBooks to every wedding to immediately back-up our memory cards. Reach out if you'd like to enthuse more about gear!
What is your photography style?
This is my first photoshoot. What should I know?
We've been there. You may feel a little silly at first. Loosen up as best you can. We're going to be all up in your business so just trust the process. We know you'll feel confident by the end of our day and that we've captured beautiful images you feel great in.
Wear what makes you feel confident. Think complimentary colors with each other. Try to avoid patterns that are too busy, or clothing with wording. Take a spin with your outfit before the shoot as we will be capturing photos from all angles.
What type of sessions do you offer?
We're passionate about telling love stories. We offer engagement + proposal sessions and weddings including destination + elopements.
How long until we can see our photos?
We carefully craft each and every photo by hand. We take pride in our work and do not use software to edit our photos. We believe in selecting and processing each and every photo personally as we envisioned it when we captured it on your day. Every image is created with our eyes, hands, and experience.
Please allow 3-4 weeks for photo sessions and 8-10 weeks for wedding galleries to be ready.
What happens after our session?
You will be presented with a password protected album full of your photos. Please download your full-resolution images and save to a safe place so your photos can be printed and shared for years to come. We hope you love your photos and will share with family and friends. We would love if you tag us @secondsunphotos when you share online!
Do you offer prints?
Prints can be purchased directly through your online album.
You are also welcome to order through any printer you choose. We do suggest professional printers such as www.mpix.com or www.bayphoto.com for accurate quality and colors.

There's a moment of peace during every wedding day - where all the pressure and planning and stress falls away and you're standing with the most important person in your life, in front of the most important people in your life, and all you feel is home. It's important to notice those moments and how special it is that they exist.
